You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time at this charming original settler’s cabin which has been lovingly restored and renovated to offer a delightful place to stay less than a quarter of a mile from the Frio River. From the hand hewed exterior walls to the original stone fireplace, the cabin emits the history of the early pioneer days. The gardens surrounding the cabin are filled with native flowering species and the front porch offers a delightful spot to just kick back and relax as you view the numerous birds that find their home in that lush setting . The main room offers a kitchen, a dining and a living area with a fireplace. The bedroom has a Queen bed, a TV monitor with VCR and a library of films for you to enjoy. The bath has a tub and shower combination and there is a small deck in the backyard with a charcoal grill and a dining table. Window unit air conditioning and heat, no telephone but good cell coverage within a mile of the guest house.

  • $135.00 per night for up to two guests Memorial Day through Labor Day. Two night minimum
  • $125.00 per night for up to two guests during low season ($175/night for one nght stays)
  • $15 per additional guest
  • 6% occupancy tax
  • Maximum of two adults and two children
  • Children welcome
  • One small well behaved dog allowed per stay
  • $10.00 per day dog fee
  • No smoking permitted on the property
  • 3-night booking for 4th of July weekend
